After the super hit film Bhaag Milkha Bhaagh, the director-actor duo Farhan Akhtar and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra reunited for yet another family entertainer Toofaan. The film was released on Amazon Prime Video in July and is all set for the world television premiere on Zee Cinema on 31 October.
During an interaction with Soptobye when asked Rakesh Omprakash Mehra if he is planning a hattrick with his star actor Farhan the director quickly responds, "I don't see a reason why we should stop at a hattrick. It is not a time-bound thing. It's just a lot to do with what you have and if things fall in place, if there is a DNA match for the subject. With Farhan he is so inspiring on the set, his approach to his work, his shiddat, passion, honesty is so infectious it is always amazing to call out action to him."
The 58-year-old director who has some of the biggest hits with his films like Rang De Basanti, Akss says, "Everybody that I have worked with there is always a yearning with all of us to come back together and do better than last time, that is most important. Everybody is growing, when I was working with A R Rahman we did Rang De Basanti, Delhi 6 we went a step ahead, with Shankar Eshan Loy same story. I would love to repeat Manoj Bajpayee and Amitabh Bachchan's jodi. Then with Aamir Khan. I have done more than one film with Waheeda ji and Sonam Kapoor, so there is always that feeling."
